This book was short and sweet. I read it straight through in a couple of hours. It was quite enjoyable though there wasn't that much happening here.

Jax (I love the name) is a witch. She is running away from her coven because she doesn't want to be evil. After the Salem witch trials, the witches harnessed extra powers from the earth and vowed revenge on humans. When Jax turns 17, she will be forced to murder a human and her full powers will come. Punishment for leaving the coven is death.

Jax buys herself an RV, moves to a small town and enrols in high school. She just wants to be normal. But one of the first people she meets and falls for is Kellar, and he is a supernatural hunter. And her new best friend? She is his cousin. What are the chances?

I enjoyed this book. It was more romance and high school drama than action with witches and hunters. It was well written and the characters were really likeable. Love at first sight was floating around the place and it just got intense too quick. The ending got a bit more interesting.

I would recommend this as a light easy read and I will be reading the next book in the series, Bane.

I got this from netgalley and I can't wait to read it. The concept sounds interesting and I hope it's not too insta-love. Those are a bit annoying. Great review!

Great review! This is my first time hearing about this but it sounds like it could be good. It's nice to find books that can be read in a few short hours and still be enjoyable. :)
