Reckoning is the third book in the Darkest Powers Trilogy. Chloe, Tori, Derek, and Simon are at the safe house with Andrew. The house belongs to a group of supernaturals who broke away from the Edison group. There's a meeting held with the supernaturals and Chloe and the others try to convince them to go back to the Edison group headquarters to rescue Rae and Lauren and then to help them find Derek and Simons dad. The group seem unsure of the young supernaturals and think maybe the experimentation has made their powers too strong and they are a danger. With the many things that are going against them throughout, Chloe, Tori, Derek and Simon, begin to feel that they cannot trust the adults and come up with a plan to escape again.
This book was completely action packed and fast moving with the romance finally taking off in this one. Chloe and Tori are becoming more familiar with their powers and Derek makes the full change to werewolf. I read this in one sitting and was totally captivated by this book. I was very sorry to be saying goodbye to Chloe and Derek who I had really gotten to like. They were both great characters and I loved the way there relationship blossomed.
This is the last in the series but I didn't really feel like the story was finished.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes YA paranormal romance/science fiction.
